Our Vision and Mission
Transforming young lives through the power of sport
The Beyond Bol Foundation aspires to be a leading platform for young people in CALD communities to access opportunities through sport.
Particularly young people facing barriers, we empower their potential, celebrate their identity, and facilitate their meaningful contribution to life in Australia.

The Challenge
Barriers to sport are barriers to opportunity.
Sport connects us. It brings people together, builds friendships, and strengthens communities.
Yet access isn't equal. Costs, cultural barriers, locations, and limited opportunities keep too many young people on the sidelines.
The Solution
Equal access opens doors, enables belonging and drives success.
We remove barriers and build clear pathways to participation through access to mentorship, development resources, and education.
Through sport, young people gain belonging, resilience, and the skills they need to succeed on and off the field.
Our Objectives
The impact of our work
We are a not-for-profit using sport to empower young people and strengthen communities across Australia.
Our programs focus on:
Removing financial, cultural, and logistical barriers.
Building more connected communities.
Linking sport with training, study, and careers.
Creating opportunities to lead and inspire.
Supporting physical and mental resilience.
Co-designing programs with schools, clubs, and families.
Promoting anti-racism, cultural awareness, and safe environments.

Education
We equip athletes with life skills, discipline, resilience and knowledge that extends far beyond sport itself.

Opportunity
We open doors for young athletes to access the resources and networks they need to thrive.

Mentorship
We guide the next generation of athletes through the support of mentors and role models who inspire and motivate.

Our Story
One powerful story, shaping countless futures
Fuelled by the inspiring journey of Peter Bol, Australian Olympic Runner, we know that opportunity, support, and guidance can turn potential into achievement.
Peter’s success didn’t come from natural talent alone; it was the result of a community who believed in him and stepped in to help nurture his dream.
It is this spirit of belief and collective support that has become the driving force behind the Beyond Bol Foundation today.
Peter was the most engaging, generous, respectful and humble young man I have ever met. He made us all feel like he knew us and more importantly wanted to be part of our community. Peter showed us the true meaning of inclusion and harmony.
Head of Clyde North Campus, St Peter's College
His story captivated school pupils, university students and professional guests alike and his messages resonated with us all.
Head of College, St Catherine's College
Peter was amazing! His message to our students was clear and appropriate and at their level. He was positive and motivating and we loved having him be a part of our Year 11 Leadership Day. A wonderful person with a great story.
